Eilidh Munro

Clàrsach/Vocals
Eilidh Munro is a multi-instrumentalist and Gaelic singer from Glasgow, currently in her 4th year of Celtic Studies at the University of Edinburgh. Eilidh studied harp, cello, voice and piano at Douglas Academy  Music School where she achieved ABRSM Grade 8 singing and Trinity Guildhall Advanced Traditional Music Performance Diploma in Clàrsach with Distinction. In 2013 Eilidh won the prestigious An Comunn Gaidhealach Gold Medal at the Royal National Mòd in Paisley, after which she was invited to perform in Sydney, Australia for Comunn Gàidhlig Astràlia and also at Mòd U.S.A, held in Pennsylvania, America. As well as performing with Huradal and the duo The Eilidhs, Eilidh is also an accomplished solo artist and has performed and taught at festivals across Scotland. (www.eilidhmunroharpist.webs.com)

Sophie Stephenson

Step Dance/ Guitar/ Spoken Word 
Hailing from Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness, Sophie's passion for the traditional arts is routed in her Highland upbringing and participation in cèilidh dances, music sessions and local fèisean from a young age. Sophie went on to achieve a joint honours degree in Scottish Literature and Scottish Ethnology, from the School of Scottish Studies at the University of Edinburgh before moving to Uist to immerse herself in Gaelic language and culture whilst studying  traditional music at Colaiste Bheinn na Faoghla.  In 2013 Sophie was awarded the Lisa Ullmann Dance Scholarship which allowed her travel to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia to meet with dancers and explore Cape Breton and Acadian dance traditions within their community contexts. Since then Sophie has collaborated on a number of projects which have led her to teach and perform at camps and festivals throughout Scotland and internationally in Norway, Canada and America. Mairi  Britton

Step Dance/Vocals
Originally from Edinburgh, Màiri was introduced to Gaelic and traditional music through attending local fèisean from a young age and was then inspired to learn the language to fluency. She now holds a First Class Honours degree in Celtic and English Literature from the University of Edinburgh alongside a deep love of Gaelic song and traditional culture. A clàrsach player from the age of seven, Màiri has performed at Celtic Connections and the Aberdeen International Youth Festival as a member of trad-jazz big band Ceòl Mòr. As a step dancer and a Gaelic singer Màiri has performed in Scotland, Ireland and Canada and is demand as a tutor at fèisean having taught on courses including the Alasdair Fraser fiddle camp on Skye. Now currently resident in the Gaoth Dobhair Gaeltacht of Donegal, Ireland, Màiri retains strong ties with her native Scotland while enjoying the opportunity to forge new connections within its sister language and culture.

Robbie Greig

Fiddle/ Guitar
Robbie Greig is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has featured on various recordings and toured across Scotland and in Europe with trad group Canach amongst others. Robbie started learning classical violin aged 5 and soon progressed to learning traditional fiddle with Gregor Borland and Irish guitar accompaniment with Tom Oakes whilst also attending Edinburgh Youth Gaitherin' and Fèis Rois.  After moving to Uist aged 16 to pursue his studies in traditional music, Robbie received tuition from renowned tutor Anna-Wendy Stevenson. In Uist Robbie joined the band ‘Room 5’ with whom he performed at the Royal Albert Hall, London. Robbie is also in demand as a teacher, having taught workshops for Fèis Rois, Fèis Dhùn Èideann, Scots Music Group and Liniclate High School and was invited to adjudicate the 2014 Col. Jock Fiddle Competition in Portree.
